I just want to say HI. I just bought two Farmall Cub Tractors. I have been researching for I'd say, the last 6 months. I got a two for one deal and will pick up the tractors on Saturday. It was a tough choice trying to figure out what model would suffice (and give me the most bang for my buck). Honestly, I know VERY LITTLE about tractors but two years ago I bought an 1890 American Four Square on 4 acres and hopefully I can live my inner self's life, lol..
I'll definitely be picking some brains here and one day looking to have one refurbished but in no hurry at the moment. Need to figure out the implements and the field work.
I would have to say what sold me on the Cubs was an old advertisement video (@ '47 or '48) I watched last week on the Farmall Cub.
Alrighty then, everyone have a good day.

Re: And the Questions begin........
When someone says "Have a fast hitch for a Farmall Cub"....... Can the fast hitch go on any cub (one of mine is a "51).
Also, by this photograph, (I'll send in a few by my phone), does this Sickle Bar Mower look to be complete? And do those go on any Cub?
Thanks in advance,
Vic

Re: And the Questions begin........
There are different (style) models of the FH so it would be helpful to know what you are considering. There's a bit of difference between the FH for a std FCub and the Cub LoBoy, some parts will interchange but not all. Suggest you search the posts on this subject, it's been discussed pretty often.alboe wrote:When someone says "Have a fast hitch for a Farmall Cub"....... Re: New Member
The early version of the fast hitch has a lever for depth adjustment. The later has a crank handle. The lever is preferable for plowing as you can make faster adjustments if you need to. As Stan mentioned, you must make sure you are getting the correct version for your Cub (F Cub or LoBoy). Mounting parts differ for the sickle mower on the two Cubs also. If you want to mount one with a fast hitch, the rear mount is different. If you go to TM Tractor (link at the bottom of the page), you can click on implement pictures and see the differences.

When time permits I'll put some pics up. (Fast Hitch and Sickle Bar Mower came off a '55 Farmall Cub.)
I pick up the 2 Cubs and implements tomorrow. Excited, a new chapter in life, lol.
