Thanks, I've seen that one, looks like about a $80.00 difference between the US made and the current OEM import.

Re: 12 volt regulator, which one?
I have tried both the import and US made VR on the 6-volt side and have found both not very reliable. I have not tried any 12-volt regulators. I can not say I have definitively tried the ones from NAPA recommend by TST. If he recommended it must be good.
I have been using 6 v electronic regulators from Clover Systems. viewtopic.php?f=1&t=94792 and have been very happy. They also make 12-volt versions.
You could also look at converting to an alternator for the $110 price of the NAPA regulator of $120 of the Clover.

Here's a 12V alternator for $71.39 with built in regulator & free shipping. 1 wire, simple hookup and have had great success with them.

Re: 12 volt regulator, which one?
Thanks Chipmaker, the alternator route would have been cheaper, but I had decided to keep this tractor pretty much stock, I've already got a $100 in a generator rebuild, so I'm going ahead with a regulator, so I need to decide between the OEM/import/cheap or otherwise.
