I believe the shift knob and FH adjustment spinners are the same size. They were on mine as I swapped them around for the best ones where used the most. I also used a little dab of silicone sealer to hold them on the shaft.

Is the fast hitch different for a LoBoy vs a standard cub?

Got the hitch mostly apart. I can't believe I didn't have to use the hot wrench on the pull bar support and just tapped it out with a hammer. Some other parts were stuck but it came right out. Sending it to the burn off oven to make life easier cleaning it.

Hi,

ajhbike, here are pages from Cub owner's manuals showing the Farmall Cub and LoBoy Fast Hitches. There are many differences between the two. :)

With a little creativity you can fit a Loboy hitch on a Farmall. I think someone on here has done it.

The rockshaft for the Loboy version bolts to the main seat mounting holes and the three bolt holes on the differential housing. That's the same on both tractors so it's easy enough.

Some fabrication would be required to mount the bail and the depth control, as those two things are expecting the final drive to be rotated 90 degrees forward.

When I put a fast hitch on one of mine ( actually Bill picked it up for me a few years ago and Mr Cub Express passed it on and I got it a few days later ) he recommended the old style lever type ) With his knowledge of plowing I set it up and never looked back( well I have when operating the tractor) ...When I bought my property the PO told me it couldnt be plowed, to many rocks...I have plowed gardens, 90 foot rows of strawberry bed, cultivated , disc'd like a pro...I recently put on a set of rear cultivators that I got from Ed and my cub looks like a little war horse.. ...But 2 things I learned...One that old style lever is the only way to go ( you can adjust things on the fly) and two, if you need any advice about plow set up Bill is the go to guy ... :hattip: :hattip: ..... Yep. I ended up buying a steering wheel spinner on amazon to try out. Not looking for authenticity, just functionality.

Couple noticeable differences between older fast hitch and newer. The bail connections for the screw type adjuster and the hand adjuster and also the lock.
