When I tried to hand crank it to start, it seems seized. Engine starts electrically. Is there a tactic to "unseize" it?

Starter switch, manual. <--That's what some call it. You should be able to pick one up at your local auto parts store if they have some people there who know how to look in the book instead of on the computer  If it's just the little rocker that's stuck, remove the switch so you can try and knock the pin out. It shouldn't take much to unstick it.

Make sure the crank is fully inserted into the pulley. If not it gets jammed in the bolster and won't turn.
It is common sense to take a method and try it. If it fails, admit it frankly and try another. But above all, try something.

Ah, Barnyard. So if I do what you say and jam the crank in the bolster, I could actually make a sellers engine 'appear' to be seized?
Hmmm.
Sorry for the apparent hijack, but I couldn't resist. :)

I wouldn't advise doing that, but did it to one of mine and thought it locked up after sitting in the barn for a year.

Nothing beats having someone that is knowledgable to give some first hand advice. I'm willing to bet you will be making more trips to TM.
