Engages the pto. Depress the clutch and move the lever to the rear to engage.

Sometimes I have to feather the clutch pedal a little to get it to engage. Always push in the clutch before you disengage it. If there is a load on it, wait for the PTO to quit spinning before disengaging.

And for further clarification, the PTO is the shaft with the pulley on the rear of the tractor

Not all Cubs will have a pulley on the PTO shaft nor will all Cubs even have a PTO shaft. Since this one has the lever though, there's a real good chance it does at least have a shaft.Soggyb wrote:And for further clarification, the PTO is the shaft with the pulley on the rear of the tractor
Nobody has mentioned you have to press down on the lever to get it to release from the detent before you try to move it.
