I've changed my name since CUB-ARAMA!

Postby Virgin Andy » Sun Sep 25, 2005 11:04 pm

Thanks to Lurker Carl and the big bunch of you at Cub-Arama, I am temporarily changing my handle here to Virgin Andy.

I was a first-timer at Cub-arama this year with my first Cub I have owned for 5 weeks and can honestly say I never met a stranger all weekend. My wife Shauntay was very impressed with the entire event.

The new name will fade with experience, I hope. I still can't decide if I want to tear my '49 down and rebuild it or keep it in its current condition.
I will work on a few issues and see how it goes. I may be back next year with a bright new coat of paint. We'll see.

I think Jamie and JP are wonderful for having a place for us to come together. Thanks Jamie and JP.

Thanks to everyone I met this year,
Andy Cox

Andy, the name will probably stick with you. I liked the laugh Shauntay had when you said "this is my first......" and Lurker Carl called you a virgin. Enjoy it....tractor that is.

Andy,

It was a pleasure to meet you and Shauntay. She's just as excited as you are with the Cub.

I'm sorry I hung that moniker around your neck, but when my brain clicks and mouth opens - no telling what comes out. We have all been tractor virgins at least once. Ahhh, the bud of a life-long infatuation with the Farmall Cub is bursting open. That's a sweet li'l Cub y'all acquired and she'll become the "other woman" in no time flat.

I hope to see y'all again at more Cub events. Y'all have a wonderful spirit!

Did you end up buying that hand lift after all?

Andy,
I have to agree with Paul, Carl and Ken, it was a pleasure to meet you and your wife at Cubarama. It's really nice to have a hobby you both can share. You have a really nice Cub there either way you go as far as restoring it or keeping it the same, either way it will draw attention!
Hope to see ya'll at other Cub events.

I bought an old tractor all dusty and worn,
knew nothing about her just the year she was born
I washed her and greased her and painted her red
Now she lives happily right here in my shed.

TC,
We were all there! I came over with Cubguy47 (Brian) and Cub Bud when you were scooting around the field on that Cub of yours. I took some pictures of your woods mower decals because those are the ones I need reproduced for my mower once I get it painted.
It does take some time to get everybodys face and name together and I'm still working on it!

TC it looks good with the weights fore and aft. Watch for the PC POLICE with the in line filter and the rubber hose though.
