Officially fixed

Postby ShawnAgne » Fri Apr 14, 2017 1:13 pm

Before I pulled the radiator I thought I would just try filling it even farther just right up to the bottom of the neck as per the instructions. Sure enough that fixed the problem. It was steaming because I didn't have enough coolant in it. Mowed the whole yard today (3.5 acres) and no issues at all. Glad this saga is fixed. However I think I will pull and flush the radiator here sometime during the summer maybe once the grass slows down.

Glad to hear you got it corrected. The usual issue is too much coolant and when it heats up and overflows. That usually raises some questions.

There's a garden hose flushing tool that Eugene posted in the How-To section some time back. It may be of interest to you when you decide to do the flush job.
