Postby smallfarm » Thu Apr 13, 2017 2:28 am

Are the 154 and f cub rear wheels interchangeable?

My experience based on installing 154 rims on my offset '57 cub Loboy: Yes, hub bolt pattern is the same. The 154 rims will only fit a FCub in the wide position due to the welded centers not having enough clearance to fit on a FCub when turned to the narrow position. The wheels/tires strike the fenders on a FCub. On the other hand, FCub rims will fit a 154 in multiple positions because the centers have several adjustments for width. This should be true for all 3 number series LoBoys. Stan

Thanks!!!!
So how wide center to center are we talking since there is no adjustment?

I can measure my 154 for you if no one else posts before I get to it. Stan

EDIT: 8.3 x 24 turf tires, 42 inches center to center.

42" center to center on a 154 doesn't translate to a regular cub, does it? Another way of looking at this would be what are the measurements from the center disk bolt flange to the outboard side of the rim or tire. a bit of math added to the width of a cubs final drive and presto the width of the 154 rims and tires on a regular cub. What I really would like to know is if I mounted 154 turf tires on an offset cub will it be wider than a woods59 or c3 mower.

Thanks

Short answer, yes. How much? I'll have to measure the rims to determine the distance from the center of the rim to the edge of the center where it bolts to the axle. Can't get to it until the weekend.
