I believe the last time I priced any of the emblems (aftermarket ones are available), the McCORMICK emblems were about $40 each and the FARMALL CUB emblems were over $100 each.

Hi,
The hood and grille styles changed through the years. IH used name stickers on the sides of the hoods from 1947 - late 1954, the hoods had the 3 ribs on each side.
Then from late 1954 - 1958 they used the metal names, with little pins on the back, that push into the little holes in the hood to hold them on. They also used a metal IH emblem on the front of the hood.
Here is a page from the Cub parts book showing the styles of the first 2 hoods and grilles, it shows the serial numbers when they were made.

TM Tractor sells the new grille, and the McCormick name plate, but not the Farmall Cub name plate. They have the front IH emblem too. Here are listings below. :)

Thanks, I am going the economical route...I don' want to spend a third of what I bought the tractor for for 4 mblems (I have the front IH) and grills. Will use the die cut vinyls and i am painting the 1/4 x 1/4 grill and it will be fine.

Nope, you gotta use a spray gun and two-part paint in a clean, wind-proof environment. Extensive surface prep is paramount too. Good paint over a lumpy/pitted surface will still look lumpy and pitted when you are done.
