erratic running

the last few times I've used my cub (1974) it has been pulsing , like the throttle is adjusting. Seems to do this after it warms up. And it will not keep up in third gear, stalls. After it does this for a while it starts to stall also.

It sounds like a fuel flow problem. Does it have an IH carb or is it the zenith?

Clean your settling bowl and screen first. Then remove plug from bottom of carb and see if you have lots of flow there. Let it run a minute into a can. If it stops or slows may be plugged screen in fuel inlet in carb or something in the line. Easy checks for a starting point
