That's neat...I've never seen one of those. Thanks for the education! I did call my "local" IH Dealer, and they did not have the pin in stock, but could order it, $3.?? plus shipping. I said I would get back to them if I didn't find one elsewhere. I did stop at a better hardware store just to see if they might have one. They did not, but had the same roll pin I had already bought, but in stainless steel, so I bought that.

:big say what: Unless you think I'm wrong, I THINK it should work for this application.

Update: I was in another hardware store (a brand new Town and Country) with a huge hardware selection. They had the correct size pin in stainless for less than $1 so I used that one instead. Installed the arm with a new spring (from site sponsor TM TRACTORS) and the stainless pin. Looks like it should do the trick!

I also bought a new key, since the old one was worn. I will probably reinstall the extention shaft with the new key and some JB Weld, since the shaft is also worn where it inserts into the arm.

What is the small hole's function, in the throttle control bolt located on top of the governor? I noticed some small wire in it in your first photo's.
