If the small orifice part of the idle tube is still in the top, then, yes, it will work. However, it would probably work just as well without the straw.

Yeah I fixed it, you are right, with good vacuum it could work without the tube. I have a brother in law that can receive a bag with one part, work on something, then have parts left over. When I ask him what is all this Stuff, he says they all ways send parts in case you have some things that are different. (Wife's brother)
