Deluxe Seat adjustment?

Postby mikes5785 » Mon Dec 05, 2016 6:06 pm

has anyone modified their deluxe seat to provide for a little bit of extra leg and belly room to the pedals and steering wheel.

I've looked and it appears that a few new holes drilled in the seat rails would accomplish this task

Yes, every time I get a Cub with a Deluxe Seat, I move it back to a comfortable location and drill new holes. I usually move it back one hole and only have to drill 3 new ones.

Its a nice improvement, and it may allow you to bend the shift lever up a little more as a bonus.

Yea, the GMO foods and corn syrups in everything we eat have altered the US male bodies from what they were in the 40s and 50s when these tractors were designed.

A link to a post by George Willer (I miss that man) concerning a modification he made to a Lo-Boy shift lever. http://farmallcub.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=16665&hilit=shift+lever Unfortunately, the pics are no longer available, however, whoever purchased Squatty (at his auction) may be able to shoot a picture of his modification.
