C.L.OB.B.E.R.

Team,

I'm starting a new project I call C.L.O.B.B.E.R. Loosely translated it stands for "Cub Location Obfuscator for BigDog's Beacon Evasion and Regulation."

Way I see it, new members need to feel comfortable putting their location in their profile without fear of the dreaded Cub Locator Beacon, hence my new project :D

I've got three tactics laid out so far, but I can't decide which one is going to be most effective, so I decided to start a poll. Maybe there's no best single tactic, but cast your vote on which one you think would work most often. I have included picture links (in parenthesis) as they can be hard to describe otherwise.

1. Electronic Locator Beacon Obfuscation with Wings (ELBOW). This one is bound to be the most effective, but will be cost prohibitive for all but the most wealthy among us.

2. Panther-Oriented Dog Denutter (PODD). This one is effective at close range, but it is indiscriminate. Innocent passers-by, spouses, pets and docile barnyard animals need not apply (or approach!)

3. Toy and Depth Perception Obfuscation Loosely Excecuted (TADPOLE). This one is perhaps the most affordable and the most ingenious, but relies entirely on BigDog's claim to be "older than dirt," and consists of building a large white box with "ERTL" painted on the side. When parked in the box, the intent is that BigDog's claimed loss of eyesight and depth perception will lead him to believe your Farmall Cub is just an ERTL 1/16 scale collector's toy.

I say TADPLOE, but we could use a sheet of glass in front to magnify the size. We just need to be sure Bigdog doesn't see this thread!

Maybe we should just put the "BigDog" on a very short leash
Life is a game we are all going to lose, so we may as well have fun playing

You Boys can " try till the cows come home", BUT you ain't NEVER gonna git a leash (or nothin' that comes close to it) on the BigDog!

AND, as for tryin' ta fool the BigDog Cub Locator Beacon (B.D.C.L.B.)...MANY HAVE TRIED AND NEVER BEAN HEARD FROM AGAIN! Most of us Old Timers believe that they're all in BogDog's B.A.R.N. (Barrier Against Radar Notification)

The Bigdog sees all and knows all! I hope you boys have your insurance paid up! Be expecting a visit from DOGCRAP. Better known as Defiant Old Geriatric Cub Removal Attack Pack.
If ya mess with the Bigdog, you might find DOGCRAP in your yard! :P :P :P

By the way Allen, you need to add "None of the Above" to your poll choices. :D :D

That's funny.

I'm suspicious. I keep finding DOGCRAP in my yard and around the shed where the Cub is stored.

I was thinking of painting my Cub orange and slapping on Allis Chalmers B stickers. But I saw an E-bay ad for an Allis Chalmers B with IH BN stickers. It didn't fool very many people, so that probably wouldn’t work.

Our local, highly effective, theft prevention service is titled COG (Codger With Gun).

Does anyone know if I'm safe west of the Mississippi in Colorado? Has BigDog ever ventured this far west to procure a Cub? Don't want to have too many sleepless nights worrying about whether I need a bigger padlock on the barn. And the golden retriever guard dog will lick you to death before she bites you!
