Re: 1950 Cub Demonstrator
Question for Jim Becker, someone mentioned that the rear rockshaft should be red because it is an add on. Your thoughts on this ?

Re: 1950 Cub Demonstrator
Jim will know best, but l believe the rock shat hardware should be blue. It is on my '48 that is actually a hand lift.
Why is there never enough time to do the job right, but always enough time to do it over.

Here is a unmolested demo cub rob, you can see it is red, parked in the barn since the 60's

Thanks Tim, i guess it was you who had mentioned that to me. It looks like the rod is red too. What about the drawbar ? Red or white?

Re: 1950 Cub Demonstrator
Here's a pic of my original demo rock shaft, it's red.and the draw bar pic is of my demo that was panted red. You look closely and you can see white under red.

I think the hand lifts were blue because they were a part of the implement. They just happened to stay on the tractor more often than the implement.

Re: 1950 Cub Demonstrator
In the 1950 timeframe, there was a good chance you could still get an implement that was all blue. There is a color photo of a white demo Super A on a 1950 International Harvester World magazine with a blue rockshaft/lift rod.

Denny
I disagree, my '48 never had hydraulics. The handlift is used with all of the equipment, just like hydr. Is used on the tractors that have it, and with it being 70 yrs old without a rebuild/paint there is still blue paint on parts of it.
I'm not saying that's what was on the demonstrator, l was just offering some info.
I'm sure someone has the info, just hasn't posted it yet.
