Before I reply, understand that everyone will have a different opinion on what's best. Below is what I use, and it's done fine by me.
I run 10-30 Motorcraft synthetic blend. I use it year round since it's kept in a heated garage in the winter, so I'm not too concerned about any specific weight.
Straight 83 fuel with no additives except for seafoam here and there.
NAPA oil filter number 1153
My opinion, these engines, gears, hydraulics, etc were designed decades ago for the lower quality fluids that were available at the time, so anything we have now would be an upgrade. There is some concern about the ethanol added to modern gas, but if the tractor is run often and the carb is run dry after use, I don't see that to be a concern.

Re: Farmall Cub Oil and Fuel?
Be aware that the owner's manual was written in 1946, and the oil recommendations of that time do not necessarily translate into products you can easily find on the shelf in modern society.
Common 10W30 oil is fine, whatever brand is your favorite. Heck you can even go synthetic if you want. Some people will warn that modern detergent oils will loosen built-up sludge, plug up your oil pump, and ruin the engine, but detergent oils have been dominated the market for at least 40 years. Most likely your tractor's engine has had detergent oil in it since Nixon was President.
Plain old 87 octane gasoline is fine for the low-compression Cub engine. Higher octane fuels will not provide any benefit to the tractor, from an octane perspective. If you have issues with ethanol related engine problems in your area, it would benefit you to seek out non-ethanol fuel.

Re: Farmall Cub Oil and Fuel?
As some of the others said, 10w30 is fine.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Re: Farmall Cub Oil and Fuel?
87 octane gas
15W-40 Oil in the motor (says diesel fleet oil, but it was cheap at TSC)
90W Transmission oil, because it was cheaper than the 80W at TSC for the transmission
Hy-Tran for the hydraulics.
Live in Ohio north of Dayton.
