What bolts to use when putting engine on a stand

Postby ShawnAgne » Thu Oct 13, 2016 6:40 pm

Have a newly rebuilt 184 motor that I need to paint up before I put it in the 52 FCub. Was just wondering what type of bolts I should use when bolting into the engine stand. Also the stand I'm being loaned is rated at 250lb. Is that adequate enough for the motor?

The long block, complete engine weighs around 150 lbs.

Bolts, depends on how you mount the engine to the engine stand. Your choice.
I have an excuse. CRS.

I would think safety first and use grade 8 bolts, available at most hardware stores.
