Hello All,
We went to an auction and here are some picks of some of the goodies I brought back. The main thing I was after was a Mott Cub Sawyer buzz saw for the fast hitch, for Hannah's cub. I got it but had to pay quite a bit more than I was hoping to. It did not come with the double v-belt drive to go on the cub, my thoughts were to find the two piece pulley for a mower and see if I can find a pulley to work with the inner hub. I don't know if it was meant for the regular cub the loboy or the 100. Have a one page brochure but the pics are not clear on the differences. Does anyone out there have an owners manual for one?
The other thing was a 1955 cub Loboy s.n. 514 which I am pretty sure is right. So that would make it the 14th one made. WOW I at least find that really neat. That this loboy probably came off the line the first day of production. I got it for a good price for even just a running tractor $900.00 was the winning bid. I was kind of tickled. It has a 60"ish mower deck which I will probably sell as I don't think that I really want it. So this one might be a keeper, as I sort of been wanting a Loboy to add to our collection. So might be on the lookout for a fast hitch assembly to add to it. I thought it might be even neat to add a Howard speed reducer to it. as none of this should detract for its value as it can be added or removed without modifying the tractor. I have not looked on it yet but is the spacers for the speed reducer the same for the regular drawbar and the fast hitch assembly?
I also picked up respectable a 48 or 49 regular cub that I will probably put for sale as I don't need it. seems to run good, tranny sounds good 12 volt with small alternator under the hood. There is 2 swinging drawbars probably be put up for sale, a supplemental drawbar for the blade, a N.O.S. planter drive gear, a FH platform carrier that will be up for sale at some point when I can get time to list. A plow lift that I will probably put up for sale as well, and some various other odds and ends. Kind of a neat sale that I don't know got well advertized.
Thanks,
Russel Foster

Wow that is awesome! GREAT find!
Completely un-related but keep me in mind if you see any 4E screens anywhere. The bigger the holes the better!

Hey thanks Al. I definitely have not forgotten about the screens. If I come across any you are first in mind. If I find any big screens that can be cut down, from another mill, would you be interested in anything like that? I go to quite a few sales, unfortunaly , and come across all kinds of stuff and I have seen screens at auctions and they are generally in the scrap pile.
Thanks,
Russel

I believe Sn 511 was for sale in northern Illinois last month with a fast hitch. You got yourself some good deals there. I may be interested in that carrier if you wanna sell. Price is always a factor.
With the twins, I don't get away much anymore so I miss a lot of auctions.
Have a good one

Yea, I like it too. That's a great style with the grille and emblems. I wouldn't get rid of the mower deck, that's what the Lo-Boy was designed for.

Yes Russel, other screens would be fine. We have two modern grinder mixers at the farm but no extra screens with either......
Thanks!

Jason,
Was gone all week working on some last minute grain bin construction. Do you remember where you might have seen it? It might be long gone by now. I will be selling the carryall, I don't really need another one, I was going to ask $350 or $375 for it in the vine when I get the time, that don't seem out of line. But if you are interested I would take $300.

I need to look to be sure I already have one, which I think I do, if not I probably will keep it. I am not sure what to ask on price yet , I don't know what the going rate might be.
thanks,
Russel

Russel.
511 was in northern Chicago area. I have looked for it high and low and have not found it since. It was listed about 4 days. Tractor had a fast hitch with plow, grader, mower, and other stuff. It was pretty nice. I emailed and got nowhere.
When things slow down I will probably take that carry all for dad. No rush.
