Cub flooding
Hi I have a cub that the float has no holes in it but does have the side sucked in a little bit but when fuel in bowl with sight glass tub set up it holds its fuel level for a few min then shoots to the top of carb and then leaks out the air tube of carb but when running does not leak but you can tell it is running rich and ideas would be helpful thanks

Re: Cub flooding
Just saw this one.... You probably need to open the carb up and see if there is any debris in the needle valve. When you do that, separate the halves straight apart or you'll break off the idle tube. Also check the float height and drop and make sure the float is centered and not catching on the side of the bowl.

Re: Cub flooding
Hi,
I agree with Bob.
It could be dirt in the needle and seat, at the float. Even a very small piece of dirt.
The needle and seat wear out after years of use too, then they don't seal anymore. Then they need replacing.
Or the float level could be wrong.
Here is a new needle and seat at TM Tractor, if you want to see them.

Re: Cub flooding
if the sides of the float are sucked in that may be a problem, put the float in hot water and watch for air bubbles
