Rescue mission

Postby Dusty B » Sat Sep 17, 2016 11:19 am

Had to go all the way to TN to keep this one from going to the junkyard but it was worth the trip!! New tires on back, motor not stuck, now to start the rejuvenation process!!

Hi,
Looks like a 1954 - 1958 style of hood and grille. If the white is original, probably 1956 - 58. A serial number check would be good. :)

Hi,
Here is a page from the Cub parts book, showing the first 2 hood and grille styles of Cubs. The 1st was made from 1947 - 1953, and the 2nd from 1954 - 1958.
If you can't read the serial number, you could check some casting codes.
You could ask the previous owner if he knows where the Fast Hitch parts are that are gone from it, if you want them. :)
