Well, the hood is either not original or it's not a 51. My guess is that they read the serial number and looked at the chart for regular cubs rather than lo-boys.
That paint scheme is not common but I have seen it before.
That is only about 35 miles from me.

That serial would be '48 for a Farmall. They came up with '51 by looking up their stock number in a Farmall Cub serial list. It would be a '66 Lo-Boy, which seems reasonable from the looks of it.

Easily explained.

This guy had a Farmall in nice condition, and in order to camouflage it from BigDog's Cub Locator Beacon (aka the BDCLB,) he painted it to look like a Ford.

That Lo Boy appears to be in real good shape.
Seems to be a decent price, especially from a dealer.

I do like the colors scheme a lot!

hidden deals

Postby John(videodoc) » Mon Sep 12, 2005 8:23 am

i thought the price was right, just looking at the work having to change it back. if i am reading things correctly, is Big Dog the reason i am unable to find a good deal on a cub in the area. i'm in eastern illnois (on the border of indiana)along I-70.

doc - the unit is top secret. You must have top dog clearance to even talk about it. It is a one-of-a-kind unit. sorry :(

It's not me outbidding you on e-bay. I haven't bid on anything in weeks.

Big Dog.... glad to see your smiling chops on a cub..... now would ya sit down when ya drive??

As Tim McGraw says... 'everybody want to be the big dog, wants to wag that big dog tail.'

And I still like the red and white paint scheme on that Cub. Had I known I was going to get a red one I may have painted the yeller one red on the bottom instead.
