Have two 78 red long stripes in for restoration, interesting that the serial #s are only three apart, 253973 & 253976, the one does not look like a long stripe as they painted over the hood decal and slapped an early one on it, they are running but ugly, will make them like new again, they probably last saw each other on the assembly line!

I'm no expert but I believe you need to recheck the numbers (253685) is the last cub built if my info is correct.
