mower removal please help
Still haven't gotten my mower deck off cub. Every angle that I come at it with fails. I have the actual brackets (2 plates one on each side) off of tractor and you would think that you could just push tractor forward or backwars to get it off but it hits the pulleys underneath the tractor when i try to do this and i cant go the other way because it hits the drawbar. So take the drawbar off! I tried and i got a bolt out on each side of drawbar (with much effort and a busted hand after one snapped) but now on each side there is a "bolt" that a cotter pin goes through and I cannot get these out to let the drawbar fall out. I have kroiled them the last few days, pounded on them, heated them up, Im beginning to think that they dont come out. The part of the mower frame that has some adjustments on it where it bolts to part of frame that connects to tractor above drawbar could be taken apart at the bolts that are there but somebody welded them! The only other thing to do that i can see is to cut through these with my angle grinder being i dont have a cutting torch... This mower is driving me nuts and Im starting to see that this project is going to take a lot longer then I had imagined, although im in no hurry. (Just frustrated with this small, should be simple, step.)

Jake,
Unbolt the plates from the final drives and remove them and the drawbar as a unit. The "bolts" with the cotter pins are welded to the plates and aren't intended to come out.

THAT sounds familiar!
I did exactly the same thing, except I didn't have Kroil at the time.
George is right, take off the drawbar and the bracket (if that is the type you have)
I just forwarded a whole bunch of photos to Cubguy47 of my mowers, hopefully he will get em posted soon, that may help.
