Popcorn doesn't ripen in April, Charlie! Wasn't even planted!

This time of year, the bear hunters spoil the bears around here with barrels of Dunkin Donuts and other expired sweets. The bears turn their noses up at the corn. More trouble comes from the flocks of Turkeys mixing it up with the deer in the cut over Corn fields...

I would say we had another successful Maine Cub Club meeting. Kent brought a huge Sub for us all to share, we had coffee and popcorn grown by ScottyD'sDad. Both Frank and Kent arrived with some great news to share. Frank had successfully attached his 189 moldboard plow to his cub and showed us the pictures of some newly turned over ground. He shared some of the highlights of attaching the implement as well as the trial and errors of getting the plow set correctly to get the sod to roll over. Kent brought news of additions to what seemingly will be referred to as his "Cub Equipment Line-up". He took delivery of a '51 cub with a wide loader, harrow, sickle, and other misc parts and you can see "Brenda" freshly posted on the Tractor Pride Photo Forum. I pulled out some of my old original cub brochures one of which shows every implement made for the cub. To close the meeting we spent the last 15 minutes setting up the rear cultivating tool bar on my cub. After the members left, I finished the front setup and scraped the vines out of my squash garden. For the next meeting in two weeks, we will be talking rust removal using electrolysis, go through the set up and actually do a small rust removal project.
If any one wants to attend it is an open membership and we would love to have you stop by. If you can let us know in advance that's all the better -
October 29, 1 to 3. at my address. -Tom :hattip:

Heading down to the workshop to make room for the Cub Club meeting from 1 to 3. Today's main topic is electrolysis as a rust removal tool. I'll have a small display using a couple gallons of water, but I have used the exact same process and equipment for 50+ gallons when I removed the rust from my entire 54A grader blade assembly.
Kent said he is bringing peanut butter cookies if that helps makes the trip "worth" it for you!
Hope you can make it!

Might be able to find our way to Maine at some point!
If it don't go, chrome it.

Please check out the "Maine Cub Club" post in this same forum. I think from now on we will be using "Maine Cub Club" in our postings and news to help stand out a bit from other more generic titles and subjects, thanks. -Tom :hattip:

This Nov 5 meeting was really great. Tom's Demo of electrolysis shows how anyone can rust away cub parts. Kents cookies hit the spot with coffee. Next meeting Demo on Welding a Cub Plow frame. Good stuff!!!
