Oil leak behind oil pan

Postby ShawnAgne » Sat Jul 30, 2016 10:13 pm

I replaced the oil pan gasket and since I've been using my 52 Cub to mow with I noticed there is a small oil leak that drips off the plate that is behind the oil pan. Is this common any specific place to look/tighten down? It doesn't appear to be running down the vertical fast of the plate. I'm not sure if it is running down the back side or if it is coming out of the area farther back on the chassis where there is a round cover and gasket.

It could be the rear crank seal, or the gasket that holds the seal retainer to the engine.

Thanks, there are other places I want to open up and replace gaskets on such as the steering area and the rear axles (did the final pans already). I'll just add this to the list for over the winter.
