wrong hydraulic pump

Postby brichter » Thu Jul 21, 2016 12:51 pm

while trying to rebuild a cub-in-a-box i went to install a hydraulic pump from another cub but this pump had 4 bolts and the cub to which it was going only has two holes. What's going on, I knew there was two models of touch controls but not the pump. Am I learning something new?

Two of those holes are to hold the two halves together. Look at the two pieces and it should be clear how they work.

you were right, Ray. It was very simple when I calmed down and looked at it. Just proves nothing is idiot proof to a sufficiently talented idiot. Thanks a lot,

Hi,
I guess you figured out that 2 of the pump bolts are shorter than the 2 bolts that hold the pump on the engine. There are threads in the pump, on 2 diagonal positions for the shorter bolts to screw into. :)
