Hydraulic system removal?

Postby Virgin Andy » Sat Sep 03, 2005 2:30 pm

I want to take off the hydraulic system off my Cub and shelve it. It is not original to my Cub and I don't need/use it anyway.

Besides just unbolting everything, are there any steps I need to take? Specifically, the part bolted to the front of the engine. do I need a cover plate or blank to cover the hole it leaves?

I haven't touched a bolt on it yet. I wanted to ask first rather than stumble along and not have the right info and parts needed for the job.

Thanks, Andy

Andrew, you will need a blank cover for the opening where the pump was.

Bet you could get some one to swap a cover plate for the unit. Don't for get that when yours was a working tractor the farmer had to have decided the extra money for the unit was wort the expense to add that option. That is all it is is an option.
