If the hole has already been drilled and tapped for 3/4" it's too big for a 5/8" helicoil.
What you'd need at that point is an insert, I think. Or, just stick with the 3/4" hole.

Trent, thanks for the response. I went with the extended tip bolt instead of the cupped... no special reason other than it was the first one Don mentioned in his post.
Matt, for now, restoring the one hole to it's original size is on the back burner. I've got a three day window starting Sunday that I need for painting. I need to get the center pieces for rear wheels, the front wheels, the front axle and the fenders sprayed. Everything is primed, I just need to get the top coat on.
I'll be adding pictures when I get my Cub back on it's feet again.

I agree with chipmaker that in most cases helicoils are garbage. I too like threaded inserts especially in higher torque or frequent use areas.
