All the small wiring on my cub are brittle and needs changing. Its a jungle presently so now is a good time for a re-wire. There are several different size wires so my question is what size should be used. Presently there is a Delco Alternator converted to one wire as follows.
1) main post alt to batt
2) one wire from plug for alt to main post
3) one wire from plug for alt to amp gauge, to ground
4) batt + to starter, batt - to ground
5)coil to distributor new with plug wires
6) coil to distributor (small wire)
7) coil to ignition switch, then to starter
I need to add head lights somewhere too. 1-3 is alternator setup. This is what would be left after removing all splices and excess wiring. Hope this is not too confusing.

Wiring diagram in above link has the suggested wire sizes. It's not for a Farmall Cub but the wire sizes are the same.
12 or 16 gauge if you want to rewire the lights.
