Radiator

Postby Scomcgr » Mon May 02, 2016 3:01 pm

Hello,
I think my cub has the original radiator on it. This is guessing from the age apparent at the bottom of the radiator where it connects to the tractor. I am considering either having my radiator reconditioned(if such a thing can be done) or buying a replacement radiator. The current radiator is working just fine, however, I am planning on painting the tractor, and would rather just address the radiator up front. (I have already rebuilt the engine and many other components). I recognize in the case of many components "they don't make them like they used to". So that is a big part of wondering if a radiator can be reconditioned and receiving a higher quality end product. Thank you. Any advice you can give is appreciated.

If you have a good local radiator repair shop, you may want to consider having the radiator re-cored. Likely about the same cost as the Clancy, but you will retain the original tank.
