Clutch pedal

Postby Colin » Thu Sep 01, 2005 5:55 pm

Hello, I am looking to replace my clutch pedal. Mainly for the reason mine has ugly welds on it. I have a new pedal to put on, however I am a bit confused on how to get the pedal off and the new one on  . I would be thankful for any advice on how to do this.

Thanks in advance,
-colin-

Use an angle grinder to clean up the welds and then paint. That should clean it up.

Go to the search on the top of the page and do a search for split or splitting. There are a number of past threads on the subject including the various method people have used to hold up both ends of your tractor when splitting. Don't forget to put a wedge between the front axle and the steering bolster. You will find that in one or more of the posts too. I present it this way as more of a if you give a man a fish he eats today. If you teach a mam how to fish he eats forever.

Colin, also pay attention to posts on removing the pedals form the shaft, they can be a real bear. You will need to split it at the fornt of the trasmission, not at the engine. This will require removing the floor pan form the torque tube and/or from the rear axle extension.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!
