Another 61 is done
You fellers like pictures so here you go, the '61 Cub (Elle Bell) restoration is officially done. I left the pony tank on just to make sure things are good for a while, and if not, the hood can come off quickly. It sure does make a tractor "pop" when the hood and emblems go back on, I'm quite happy how it turned out. From prep to paint I did everything myself, but unfortunately I have no before pics. I'll make sure to do that on the '56 Loboy which is on deck. Hopefully #2 wont take 2 years to complete...
I would like to thank all here who helped, direct or indirectly. There is no way to measure the amount of time saved having this forum to go to along the way. Its become a great wealth of information and a place I enjoy going to each night.

Sharp tractor, nice job. That pony tank sure beats the empty pop bottle I was using.

Nicely done.
Is the pony tank the only source for gas? It looks as if it has the only tube to the carb.

When you only have 9 horsepower you need to know the names of all of the ponies!

Yes, that's a very good idea indeed.

Yes, the hood was the last (and longest) thing I worked on so it served its purpose well. I think I will leave it on until I start tinkering with the Loboy with the hood off. Then a permanent steel line will get installed to the main tank. Or could it be I'm just a little nervous pouring gas over that fresh clear coat and a lot of hard work...??
Thanks for all the nice comments guys.
I forgot to thank earlier Dennis, Barnyard , Raymond, and everyone else who's time and efforts make this site possible. Without them that wealth of info can not exist.

I totally agree. THat is the exact design of a pony tank mount I have been wanting for years. Just have never gotten around to making it. The one I was gonna make also had 2 threaded holes off the "arm" to keep (2) implement bolts with it so you wouldn't have to find some each time you wanted to use it.
Make me one of those mounts and I'll buy it from you! ihfarmallrtr@gmail.com

If I were retired that would be a good possibility, I just have to many irons in the fire to get into the fabricating business right now.
I am quite flattered with the interest however.thanks
