Poor starting--154 Lo Boy

Postby tbear » Sat Apr 16, 2016 3:39 pm

In case anyone is interested. I've had a 154 Lo Boy for a year now and it always was hard to start-would flood when cranking-even stopped a few times in the middle of plowing snow. Checked spark and gas- all there but wouldn't start even with ether. I finally pulled the plugs and by golly I think they were the originals from all the rust and wrench marks on them. Got new plugs and now I hit the key and it just clicks and it's running--don't even hear the starter anymore. Idles way better and has power to take off in third gear at idle.
