pto shaft

Postby mwangelin » Tue Mar 29, 2016 6:43 pm

Is it possible and or advisable to use a set screw collar instead of a snap ring on the older non groves shafts. I know the old bearings were staked, but that is what failed.

Sounds like a good idea but I'm not sure there's room for a collar.
Attachments - 193 plow - 144 cultivator - 22 mower - 28A disc harrow - 54 leveling blade - Woods 59C2 - drag harrows - Mott D9 flail - flat belt pulley
The squeaky wheel may get the grease but it's usually the first to be replaced!
