Cub's big brother

Postby bald » Mon Aug 29, 2005 9:50 pm

Brought the Cub's big brother home yesterday.

Someone had mentioned a parts book for the A on the server..have looked, but must be looking in the wrong place.

Also looking for some implement bolts for the Cub (with the tapered shoulder at the head of the bolt) like the ones used to attach the drawbar. Any good sources for those?

The bolts with the tapered shouldered are still available from the Case/IH dealer. Just purchased some about 2 months ago. About $2.50 each.

The parts number (351 679 R1) is still good. Take an old bolt as an example just in case I provided the wrong part number.

Elliott, it's a Super A, 1953. Once I get the car steering wheel and the boat seat replaced, intend to dress it up some and use it to mow. It'll be next in line after I finish the touchups on the Cub and restore an old 8N.

Rudi, that info you gave me about posting pictures works well. Thanks.

Bald: To see the parts manual on the A, go to Rudi's manual site. Scroll down to "Other IH McCormick-Deering Farmall Tractors". The manual is listed as "A-B". Dan

Nah

Just retired...

Thanks though. A lot of very generous people have sent me the manuals and some have scanned manuals for me as well.

I still have a wack of em to put up on the server. Now that my computer seems to actually work.... I might be able to do this.
