There are no replaceable bearings for the camshaft. The engine block was bored and polished and the cam turns on the polished surface. I have rebuilt a few of these engines and never needed to do anything on the cam. Is yours sloppy or are you just thinking you need to replace the "bearings"?

So far, Paul and Ringo have arrived. John and George were supposed to follow ages ago, but apparently have gone awol. Long story.

Ok, I think what we have here is a failure to communicate. We need pictures to clarify what you need. Once we see the parts you need or at least where it attaches, I'm sure the experts on this site will be able to point you in the right direction.

No cam bearings in a standard Cub C-60 engine block.

Measure/micrometer the cam journals and the cam bearing location as a double check.

There is a possibility that the cam bearing locations have been reamed and an insert applied - - - but I doubt it. May have the wrong cam for the engine, and any other number of possibilities.

Own the Operator's Manual, Parts Manual, and Service Manual.
I have an excuse. CRS.

Do you mean "crankshaft"bearings? Camshaft is the thin shaft, that runs the valves. Has no replaceable bearings. Crankshaft has replaceable bearings for the connecting rods, and also the 3 main bearings.

this engine was taken apart by someone else tried the cam and it seems loose I will try to get pictures .The tractor was taken apart by someone in Houston and the owner before me told them he wanted it back like new . Well I am unsure what they did but they gave him a price of $5000.00 for the rebuild . He decided to do it his self and then lost interests . I will try to get the camera in to take a picture of what I am seeing
If they line boared the block to install cam bearings I guess I will have to figure out and get bearings for it ,I know most cam bearings are babin will brass be just as good
It is hard to repair something when you have never seen it together . It seams they have lost or they away the valve keys and some of the parts there also extra thanks to all Billy :lost: :help: :thanx:

Well I guess I am officially stupid . I went and tried to get pictures and the cam fit good .The only thing I think is I did not install all the way and jump conclusion . I have got to get it together better to rebuild this motor well I have started sorting nut& bolts and it looks like a job there just boxes full of parts so it is slow. thanks again for setting me right Billy :worthy:
