I recently purchased my first Cub so I'm going to have lots of questions I'm sure. The tractor is not currently running but turns over just fine. I have a tune up kit and coil ordered for it.
My question today is, Can some post a picture of the Carb linkage? Mine is completly missing and I need to fabricate or purchase the rod from the governor rod to the carb.
Oh, it's a 1951 Cub.
Thanks

Here's a link to a photo from TM: http://www.tmtractor.com/tm-tractor/ggv ... od_001.htm
3/16" rod, 10 1/2" to the bend, the short arm is 3/4" long, the threading about 1 1/2" long. Post a "wanted" in the Vine Forum and you may find one, JP Tractor Salvage (sponsor at the bottom of the page) will probably have them.

Re: Carb linkage
Post a request for the linkage in the "Vine". There are folks on this site who dismantle Cubs and sell parts. They should have one.
It will be less expensive to purchased a used linkage than to purchase parts and then construct one.
Edit: Hamilton Bob, advertiser on this site and JP Tractor Salvage would be a good source.

I have an excuse. CRS.

Take your check book and a shopping list. Plus you'll find more things that you didn't know you needed once you get there. My brother went to pickup a three point blade one time and came home with a backhoe.Figo40 wrote:I talked to JP Tractor Salvage, they are located 80 miles south of me,I'm making a road trip Monday!
Wave as you go by De Soto, I'll be at work.
