I have some pictures somewhere of the hitch for that type of disk. I'll find and post them.

I have an IH Horse Drawn with the seat type disc harrow. It has been modified somewhat to pull behind a tractor. It is about as big as a Cub can handle I think.

My plan is to use my rear lifting bar for the Cub-144 Cultivator as the prime mover in the lifting assembly. I haven't seen anything else that I think can make it work.

Now that Ellie is runnin again, I will plow the garden hopefully this week, then start working on the lift mechanism for the disc harrow. Will keep you posted on my progress.

Other ideas/thoughts/guesses would be appreciated at any point between now and whenever....Image

Jim which weighs more, the anvil or the human? Thak disk would really bite with that much weight. Not all of us are lucky enough to have a 3 point on a cub.

I can pick up the anvil. Don't think I can pick up my own weight. I would give up the Cub with 3-point for your JD 1050 with 3-point.

Thank you! I needed more than a cub, needed a bucket and a back hoe too. Truth be told I wish that I had known more at the time, probably would have gotten something a little bigger. May be not the 1050 was a strain on the budget at the time. Snaking out 20 & 25 inck beech logs puts a strain on the 1050 but that is next winters heat. Have a lot of them hit with Beech Bark Beetle and too many too close together. I have thind out a lot of poplar or aspen. My son in law is a veneer log buyer and calls Tulip, Poplar. Shows how much I know. There is a ball for a hitch welded to the center bottom of the bucket by a PO and I welded a 3/8 slip hook to the top. Almost wish I had used a grab hook.
