I spent 1700 and got a nice 48 cub with it. Is the mounting hardware available? It has the large bucket. Check the rear mounting brackets to see if they were cut. If it was on a cub with a fast hitch some people cut the rear 2 or 3 inches to get it to fit. There are optional parts for the loader if it is used with a fast hitch. There is also a special bracket for the right light. I am not sure if it is the photo but the boom cylinder looks as if it may have been replaced. Not a bad thing if you are going for function. Do you know what tractor it came off of? The loader was used on the cub, loboy, 140 and A. If it was on an 140 the front bracket had to be cut and it may no longer mount on a another tractor. do you have wheel weights? you will need one if not two sets of rear weight or rear ballast of some kind on a Cub especially with that bucket full. I have the smaller bucket and I have issues when it is loaded.

If things are missing you are looking at fabrication not ebay to get them. There are not a lot of parts around. TM does make the light bracket which is where I got mine. go over the manuals http://www.cleancomputes.com/Cub/IH%20I ... index.html to check for missing items before you agree to a price.

The boom is nice item to have with it but you can pick them of a number of places new and used or make one. I would not pay more for it especially if parts are missing because the value of the boom will not make up for what is missing.

When you only have 9 horsepower you need to know the names of all of the ponies!

I paid $2050 and got a Cub, 1000 loader, material bucket, manure bucket, and home made snow blade.

It has the correct cylinders on it Mine has the same ones. there is an early and late model loader and there is different cylinders depending on the years of manufacture. If I remember right this is the older style. I love it! I would not be with out it! I loved it so much I found another one and my dad and myself both use them! don't let it out of your sight! bring it home don't be afraid to pay up for it.

also check the cub manuals that Rudi has he has a manual in there for it and if you go to a IH dealer parts website you can look at all the parts diagrams to see what is missing! Carter & Gruenewald is a good place to look up all the parts diagrams!

Just curious if you rely on your Cub for much of your field work i.e. cultivating? You will lose some functionality by mounting the loader. Do you have another Cub for your CSA? That loader is not a quick on/off like many more modern loaders.

I owned a 1000 loader a number of years ago and currently run a small vegetable operation. Definitely weigh the pros/cons of that loader if you plan to rely on it at your CSA.

...or, it makes a good reason to own another tractor. Maybe even step up the game with a Super A, 100, 130, or 140...

Cubs are wonderful tractors but the bigger tractors handle the 1000 loader better in my opinion.
