Welcome back Calvin. I wasn't on the board when you were here but from the warm things people have said of you it is good to have you back.

Calvin, I am sorry that you have had to endure so much lately. I live close to Ron and he is a heck of a guy. If you need some help with something just yell for Ron and I and I'm sure we can do something to help.

My Cub Friends

Postby Calvin » Tue Aug 23, 2005 12:58 am

I'll tell you one thing, since I came on this board 5 years ago I sure made some really good friends. I appreciate everything I asked you fellows back when I redone the Ol Cub and then when it broke in 2 while I was on it hahaaa. If it wasn't for you fellows I guess the Ol Cub would of sat there in the field for ever. My Dad was the one that knew all about them and I knew nothing until I met you guys. Ron Seltzer is one Great Guy, he came to me from 2 or 3 states away and hauled a belly mower all the way here for me and even helped me hook it up at no cost, now thats a friend. To John, I still have both Cub Hats my friend never wore them and their in my show case in the living room. Guess they will be there for the rest of my life and will be given to my only Daughter. I can say one thing to all new comers to this board, if you have a Cub this is the place that you will get more help than you ever thought of. These fellows will go out of their way to help you, I know they did for me! Im going to monitor this board again even if I dont have a Cub anymore I just want to stick around and get to talk to all you fellows again. I have 1 Grandson who just turned 13 and I tried to get him involved in Cubs but he has his mind set on a old 1970 VW Bug I bought for his mother 12 years ago, maybe someday he might get interested in restoring a old Cub. If he does I'll find one locally and try to get it for him, and who knows maybe someday he will be on this board worrying you fellows about how do you do this and that like I did hahaaaa. Again I appreciate all that everyone has done for me on here and I will definatly be back. Take care my friends.
