difference in blades for mowers

Postby brichter » Mon Nov 09, 2015 7:39 pm

I tried searching this but got no satisfaction. Is there a difference in the blades for a Woods 42 and the IH 42 mower? Also while I am asking, where do the rest of you find the replacement blades? Thanks,

Billy Ray

Can't answer the first question. IH C-2 blades are around $70 ea from Messicks online or your local IH/CNH parts dealer. Part numbers are blades (474025R1) and bushings (474026R1).

The Woods 42 blades are short and pivot on the end, but most of the Ih blades I have seen were long 1 piece. If you do not have an implement dealer close by try Oregon blades.

Local auto parts store. Woods blades are listed in their Prime Line catalog.

The Prime Line catalog has a section for blades by length. Blades are also listed by center hole diameter, width, thickness and type of cut. If you take one of your old blades to the auto parts store, they may be able to match it up.
I have an excuse. CRS.
