Light plug wire connectors

Postby cub67 » Thu Oct 15, 2015 9:17 am

Does anyone know where I can find the proper female spade connectors to make my pigtails for my front and rear lights? I bought some standard female connectors but they do not fit the slots of the plastic plugs let alone "snap" in. I never had any old ones to compare them to.

Cub67, It seems I read a post a couple of years ago where Boss Hog had lucked up on several at an auction. You might try contacting him. Good Luck, Tom.

I believe they are properly called "blade" connectors and to be specific "Packard 56". I've also seen them referenced as "GM 56". If you Google "Packard 56 connectors", you should find them all over the place.

Get some guidance here:

I recently needed to rewire a burned out connector On my John Deere lawn tractor (forgive me  )
I bought these connectors which fit "snapped" into plug that looks very much like what you have. The connectors have small tabs on the back that snap in place.
If you don't mind crossing into enemy territory I bet they have what you need.
The part # is U46662.

Good luck with it, Mike.
PS- they are the same connector Jim speaks of.
