Make sure you follow the procedure exactly. If not you can crack the block on the thin wall side opposite of the valve train. Also retorque after 5 hours of running. (In the proper torque sequence)

And use a dab of sealer on the head bolts or coolant will weep up the bolts.

I always torque in three passes, at 1/3 final torque, 2/3 final torque, and final torque settings. Don't know if it's necessary, but I figure it evens out the stress a bit more.
