Oil change after hydraulic leak

Nothing else needed. Just drain the oil drain out of the crankcase.
The hydraulic oil is already mixed in with the motor oil. The tiny amount of residual hydraulic oil in the remaining motor oil won't hurt anything.

Yes, the amount of hydraulic oil left in the engine is so small it's not worth worrying about.
Maybe if it was something abrasive, it would be worth worrying over, but they don't call it hydraulic OIL for nothing

Short term won't hurt. Some old time mechanics like to run ATF in an engine to clean it out. Not much different than some oil additives.

Basically, hydraulic oil just thins down engine oil.Rob in NH wrote:is the hydraulic oil bad for the engine, i thought the oil was a bit high on mine. i think my pump is leaking.
