Re: replace worm gear on 1947 CUB
Need to replace No 5 and 17. both worm gears. Problem is do I need to take the rad off. I realize I must take the front axle off. The rest of the procedure I am not sure of.

Why do you need to replace them? Not usually something that wears out.

The stirring has a lot of play which allows for a major shimmy.
