Hi All,
I have a few questions regarding the Hydraulic system on the cub
(1) Can you use anything other than IH Hy-tran fluid in the Touch Control system
(2) If you add an additional Hydraulic Attachment to your Touch control system that has been used before without Hy-tran Fluid is it ok if the two mix. will it hurt the system.
(3) Buy adding a loader attachment to the cub that has an auxiliary tank, How do I determine how much fluid to put in the tank? Is it ok to fill the tank up to the top
Thanks
Rick

Rick, you can use non detergent oil. I believe 10 wt. is correct. As far as mixing hy-tran and other fluids - I would prefer not to and would try to drain and re-fill everything with the same fluid.
As far as how full to fill the reservoir, with all cylinders retracted, the reservoir would be at it's max capacity. So the reservoir has to be big enough to hold fluid to fill all cylinders at full extension. If you fill the reservoir with the cylinders full, the reservoir will over-flow when the cylinders retract.
Hy tran or it's equivalent would be my choice for the system.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Rick, I'm with Bigdog on this one. Probably best to not mix the fluids. If you cant drain all of the old fluid, just change the hy-tran in the Cub system a couple of times after attaching the new equipment. I think there are other brand hyd fluids that are compatible/or meet the specs, but I stick with hy-tran.
