Cub rpm max

48 cub serial number - rpm 1800 on serial tag - looks like original -

Thought early Cubs rpm was 1600. What years did they change rpm?

My '49, SN 69xxx has 1800 RPM on the tag, the '49 manual shows a 1600 RPM governed, maximum full load.

1,800 rpm is the maximum speed at no load.
