Lurker Carl's Carb Fixes

Postby tmays » Wed Aug 05, 2015 2:11 pm

Tried looking at the 'How to fix stripped threads'. Won't work on my phone. Is there another link that will? Thanks

Thomas, I would like to read the thread that you referred to but I can't find it. Could you possibly post a link to it? Thanks. Stan

Stan, you can look under Rudi's server and it's under'maintenance tips and techniques'. There are several of his tips there. Here's link for the one I wanted to see

It is a PowerPoint presentation that Carl did. You almost need MS Office to open it but .. Open Office is a better option. Not sure if there is an app for that or not for a phone .. see ... phones are phones and not laptops

When I tried to view the slides on my laptop running Windows XP it did not open automatically. Not sure if it could be opened with POWERPOINT or not.

Would be better as a pdf. But that's just my opinion :-)
I did main jet threads yesterday. Removed the main jet after JB set up and threads look good. Waiting for it to cure to test. Thanks for your help, Stanton!

I revisited the "Rudi's Manuals" link directly and was able to view the slides on my laptop OK. Instructions are included in the file to open it via POWERPOINT.

You're welcome. Glad it worked out for you!

Some time back, I had converted all Lurker Carl's Carb fixes from Powerpoint to Word docs. My computer at home didn't have PP, but I wanted to be able to open / use them in Word.

there are also apps for PPP's and should be available for smart phones. I haven't had the energy to go looking for apps for phones.. sorry guys .. not high on my priority list so far...

I like my laptops... phones are too small for this half blind, half deaf and half dead old guy :-)
