When Rick Prentice first started KubKraft he have many different prototypes and variations of products until he found a perfect product. Here we get a good look at the original engine brace/step combination produced by Kubkraft. This was on a Cub for sale at the Tug.

Early Cub Accessories!
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Re: Early Cub Accessories!
In all honesty, this Cub was used in a factory and the brackets were made for a particular use. When we first saw it we joked about how it was mounted to the front and rear as if it were holding the engine together. It was a reference to the engine braces we now see in many Cub. We never questioned why the factory made it that way. I'm sure it served its purpose.

Re: Early Cub Accessories!
In that case it was probably built that way to meet either company or OSHA requirements for a machinery step. The ones originally made by IH or the similar aftermarket ones probably would not meet the OSHA requirement for industrial use.Barnyard wrote:In all honesty, this Cub was used in a factory and the brackets were made for a particular use.........

Almost looks like half a battery box for an aux battery, don't know why it'd be there though.
