Hi Guys,
I have enjoyed looking through this site and reading all the posts, there sure is a lot of knowledge out there.
I bought my Lo-Boy used back in 1970, I believe it is about a 1967. On the model sticker it only says "Cub Lo-Boy" no real model number, the serial #24582 is listed. This site list Low Boys as 154, 184 and 185. Which Low Boy do I have???
The reason I need to know after all these years is I want to purchase a "Touch Control" (hydraulic system) rebuild kit and I can't find an identifying number label anywhere on it. There is some molded numbers on the side of the reservoir tank (10 3 N 360719-R) but I believe they are just mold numbers not system identifiers. So I figure I at least need to Identify my Low Boy by it's number in order to purchase the proper Touch Control re-build kit.
Once I get the system rebuilt and the leaks stopped I want to tap into the system and install a hydraulic power angle on my snow plow.... I have the by-pass block and gaskets and have done some research on a spool and hydraulic cylinder. But feel I should rebuild the system first....
Any help in identifying which Cub I have would be a big help..... And any advice on installing a power angle on my snow plow project would be most appreciated
Thanks
Jim B.

Number series Loboys did not come out until 1969 so you must have a regular Loboy. I will move this to the Cub Forum so you will get more specific answers.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

If you enter the SN in the "WHAT YEAR IS MY CUB" at the top of this page, it says 1968 and the casting code is O. The TC casting code 10 3 N indicates October 3rd, 1967 and the 360719-R1 part number is needed to get the right rebuild kit for yours. Stan

Re: Identifying my Cub Lo-Boy
does the driver sit to one side (offset) or in the center? The reason I ask is that I have seen a cub, maybe 2 of them, just don't remember for sure about the first one that appeared to be original paint and decals that were the numbered style but just said LoBoy, no number. Didn't pay that much attention to the first one I saw, but was helping with some repairs on the second one, so i paid more attention.

I wondered too John, but would a number series have the TC like a Cub?

Re: Identifying my Cub Lo-Boy
If this were a numbered series that serial number would make it a 1972. My money says it is a regular Cub.

My '72 154 Number Series does not have a TC like a FCub. The hyd reservoir is the transmission with the control valve mounted on a bracket under the fuel tank. The hyd pump looks different also but I have not looked at the details in the parts manual. This picture is not my tractor, I copied it from the internet. Stan
EDIT: I looked up the hyd pump info and found the following info: FCub part number 352 035 R94, Number Series LoBoy part number 404 870 R91 also 547 135 R91. Neither one had a SN reference so I don't know what is the difference.

Re: Identifying my Cub Lo-Boy
Hi,
The numbers you posted do identify the Touch Control block, and when it was made. The 360719R1 is the block part number, and the 10 3 N is the date code, like Stan said above. N is the year in code, N is 1967.
Here are pages from a Cub LoBoy owner's manual showing what a 1967 Cub LoBoy looks like. Click on the pics makes them bigger.

360719R1 is the part number for the late model Touch Control block, so you may need to take another look at that number. Ih part number for the overhaul kit is 360713R92, or you can order it from TM Tractor.

Re: Identifying my Cub Lo-Boy
I think all the Lo Boy's had the later TC. The non numbered Lo Boys look just like a Cub only a 'lo rider' version. I mow some slopes with mine and love it for that reason, low center of gravity. Looks like:
I find the parts, operators and service manual to be infinitely helpful, but you can make due with the online ones mentioned above. Parts (except electrical) here too:
